The Workhorse

A day in the Mascardi Diary. Oops, we’ve been gone a while. I guess life happens (sometimes read as laziness). We have all been there right?

The showroom operations have been crazy lately and we haven’t delivered as many Mascardis as we did in a single week ever before. Big kudos to the the entire Mascardi team and honestly the absolutely precious Mascardi Family for being so lovingly patient with us. We may already say this a lot, but we truly love you guys.

A long week definitely calls for an adrenaline kicking weekend. Scrolling through our content library we found the perfect car that fits the occasion. We dialed in Kwesi and he knew just the spot thats befitting of the mighty Volkswagen Touareg V6. Honestly, we thought just about anywhere that doesn’t have a tarmac road would do this car justice but Kwesis spot did not let us down one bit.

And boy, was our workhorse excited! Unleashed in its playground, the V6 barely made us realize we weren’t even on a road in the first place. And you thought it was the Landcruisers that reigned this territory right? Well technically, they do. But you’d be mistaken to give a Touareg a pass as a solid contender to the Off-roading race.

Anyone remember the Dakkar Rally? or the Darpa Autonomous Challenge?

Folks, theres a reason to why it’s the Touareg that dominates all these titles. And if you are as obsessed with Kenyan off-roading as some of us here at Mascardi are, you may want to come on over and explore the handsome and rugged VW youngster!

The Pros: The Price (X5, GLE, Cayenne - we are looking at you), The Handling, The Looks, The Reliability.

The Cons: We can’t get enough Petrol V6s in Japan. Honestly that just sucks. UK Diesel ones? hmm.. not a big fan of those. <inset smoke/rust pun here> More on that later.
