MECHANIC SPECIALIST: ELECTRICAL & DIAGNOSIS TECHNICIAN
The Electrical & Diagnosis Technician shall work on diverse brands of vehicle's electrical system, including engine management system, body electrics, and transmission system management. He/she shall be responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, repair, and service of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnosis
Carry out simple work on the vehicle's electrical system and use information from the wiring diagrams and manuals.
Should be able to diagnose and repair fuel injection and electronic systems and in particular, actual trouble shooting of electrical and electronic systems
Should be able to understand the advanced theory of the electrical/electronic components and be able to test and repair them.
Should be able to diagnose and be able to repair body electrical components including combination switch,wiring harness and connectors, multiplex wiring including air bags.
Should be able to diagnose and repair problems related to batteries, charging, and starting and ignition systems
Should be able to understand the special electronic equipment, their application and be able to work with them
Should be able to diagnose and repair of heating and air conditioning system
Should be able to diagnose and repair modern automatic temperature, control heating and air conditioning systems with the use of appropriate equipment

Diagnose and repair Cruise control Systems
Diagnose and repair Seat Heater Systems
Diagnose and repair Audio Systems

Diagnose and repair Central Locking/Keyless Entry Systems
Diagnose and repair Sliding/Sunroof Systems
Be conversant with all test equipment and procedures necessary to carry out diagnosis of above systems.
Should be able to carry out mechanical diagnosis and repair on noise,vibrations,and harshness on different vehicle systems
Product Knowledge and Procedures
Maintain thorough and up to date knowledge of products whilst carrying out research on various models.
Use and apply knowledge, training, technical and personal skills to carry out work allocated.
Comply with Health and Safety regulations and safe working practices.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and tidiness within the workshop and common areas.
Comply with company policies and procedures, understand and work in accordance with the company SOPs to ensure uniform quality standards.
Adherence & compliance to general automotive industry engineering standards and best practices.
Preferred Work Experience
Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or similar
3-5 years of automotive related experience in leading automotive institution in a similar role.
Ability to read and write electrical schematics.
Ability to adapt to a dynamic working environment and work within a diverse team.
High level of analytical and problem-solving skills
Computer knowledge will be an added advantage.
Ability to work without supervision.
Valid driver's licence.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
